Event

The ecological model of aging is based on the assumption that health is affected by a dynamic interplay among biologic, behavioral and environmental factors. The lung in particular is exposed constantly to environmental factors that can contribute significantly to accelerate the onset of molecular and cellular mechanisms associated with lung aging and increase the susceptibility to age-related lung diseases. The focus of this session will fit with the topic of the 2017 ATS conference: Environmental interactions and origin of lung diseases.
